Sony Centre Fury 62 v 83 St Mirren

Cadet Men National League Division 1

St Mirren West College Scotland Cadet Men travelled through to Falkirk to compete in a top of the table “must win” game against their closest rivals.

A win in this game, the last before the Christmas break, would see the St Mirren West College Cadet Men maintain their unbeaten run of 13 games this season in the National League and Scottish Cup, and achieve an undefeated 2016 with a 100% run of 39 wins.
The game was extremely close throughout with Fury demonstrating a desire to upset the unbeaten Saints team. Great defensive intensity from Craig Fraser and Brad Low kept Falkirk at bay whilst at the offensive end, Ben Mitchell was unstoppable. The half time score was 52-38.
Fury have posed the biggest threat to the Saint side for the past two seasons but once again could not stop the young Saints side who recorded Fury’s second defeat of the season.   Consistent shooting performances from Christopher Feeney and Robbie Stevenson throughout the game sealed St Mirren West College Scotland Cadet Men’s win of 83-62
Saints top scorers were Christopher Feeney with 26 points, Robbie Stevenson on 19 points and Mikey Irvine with 18 points
Saints next game after the festive break is a home fixture at The Lagoon against mid table Grampian Flyers on Saturday 14th January, tip-off 12.50pm

Another brilliant performance from a group of boys who just refuse to be beaten. Pretty awesome all round.
